Nomination Committee of the European Business Assembly (EBA, Oxford, UK) together with the Scientific Council of the International University of Vienna highly appreciates professional and social activity of Director general of the company WELD K.I. Eryomin and recommends him for the title “Professor emeritus of the International University of Vienna” for his contribution to strengthening of international relations in the area of science, education, and business.

To receive the attributes, K.I. Eryomin is invited to solemn European Awards Ceremony. The Ceremony will be held on December 12, 2009 in the Pallavicini Palace in the framework of the Christmas Rout (Vienna, Austria, December 10-13, 2009).

The Company WELD obtained license of Department of Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for Chelyabinsk Region for performance of works using information classified as state secret.

Employes of the Company WELD prepare documents to apply for postgraduate and doctoral studies in the Moscow State Construction University. On Thursday (November 19), a meeting of the Testing of Structures Department of the Moscow State Construction University will be held. At the meeting, Deputy Director for Industrial Safety of OOO WELD E.L. Alekseeva will make a report on “Methods of technical diagnostics of main buildings of power plants”; Director for Technical Expertise of OOO WELD M.V. Nashyokina made a report on “Longevity of stress-cycled metal structures”.

On October 22, in the Moscow State Construction University employees of the Company WELD – Director for Industrial Safety of OOO WELD S.A. Matveyushkin and Director of Energy Department of OOO WELD G.A. Pavlova – made reports on “Longevity of structural steelworks of operated industrial buildings of iron and steel plants” and “Reliability of elongated plate-like structures of iron and steel plants”. The Testing of Structures Department of the Moscow State Construction University recommended the reporters for enrollment in the Doctorate. On November 23 the meting of the scientific council of the University will be held, which will consider the question of such enrollment.

From November 11 to November 15, in the Moscow State Construction University the third international scientific and technical conference was held on “Theoretical basis of heat and gas supply and ventilation”. The conference was dedicated to 150th anniversary of the founder of the Moscow school of heat and gas supply and ventilation professor V.M. Chaplin.

The conference worked in several sections:
• Construction thermophysics;
• Heating, ventilation and air conditioning;
• Section of the competition for the best research work among students, post-graduates, and young scientists;
• Heat generating plants, heat supply and gas supply;
• Problems of reorganization of higher education in the field of heat and gas supply and ventilation.

In the course of discussion of matters related to heat generating plants, heat supply and gas supply, report on “Enhancement of efficiency of power supply to indoor structures” was made by the head of the Energy Department of OOO WELD, assistant professor, Cand. Sc. (Engineering) G.A. Pavlova and assistant professor of department for heat and gas supply, ventilation and municipal services of the Magnitogorsk State Technical University n.a. G.I. Nosov L.I. Korotkova.
