On December 1 – 4, 2009, in Hotel Complex Ismailovo (Moscow) was held IV International Conference "Prevention of failure of buildings and facilities"organized by the Holding Company WELD, Research and Industrial Association “Risk management, industrial safety, control and monitoring" (RISCOM), Russian Association for non-destructive monitoring and technical diagnostics (RONKTD) supported by the State Duma of the Russian Federation, HQ of Rostechnadzor, Association for public housing services ASCOM.

Over 60 specialists from 45 organizations took part in this conference. Among them were heads of supervising bodies, representatives of research and educational institutions, expert centers, industrial enterprises, and public organizations. The participants came from over 20 cities: Moscow, Ufa, Kazan, Ekaterinburg, Stavropol, Chelyabinsk, Lipetsk, Volgograd, Novosibirsk, Magnitogorsk, Khanty-Mansiysk, Nizhni Novgorod, Samara, Dnepropetrovsk, Norilsk, St. Petersburg, Ozersk, Novocherkassk, Volgograd, Sterlitamak, Kharkov (Ukraine), Minsk (Belarus).

From November 11 to November 15, in the Moscow State Construction University the third international scientific and technical conference was held on “Theoretical basis of heat and gas supply and ventilation”. The conference was dedicated to 150th anniversary of the founder of the Moscow school of heat and gas supply and ventilation professor V.M. Chaplin.

The conference worked in several sections:
• Construction thermophysics;
• Heating, ventilation and air conditioning;
• Section of the competition for the best research work among students, post-graduates, and young scientists;
• Heat generating plants, heat supply and gas supply;
• Problems of reorganization of higher education in the field of heat and gas supply and ventilation.

In the course of discussion of matters related to heat generating plants, heat supply and gas supply, report on “Enhancement of efficiency of power supply to indoor structures” was made by the head of the Energy Department of OOO WELD, assistant professor, Cand. Sc. (Engineering) G.A. Pavlova and assistant professor of department for heat and gas supply, ventilation and municipal services of the Magnitogorsk State Technical University n.a. G.I. Nosov L.I. Korotkova.

On November 02-06, 2009, Scientific and Industrial Association “RISCOM” held the conference in “Monitoring and risk management in industry. Problems of diagnostics and non-destructive inspection”. Representative of OOO WELD – Director for Industrial Safety S.A. Matveyushkin – made a report on “Longevity of steel engineering structures”.

Main topics of the conference held in KOSC “Lipki” were:
• Self-regulation in the field of industrial safety expertise.
• Management and monitoring of industrial risks at hazardous facilities.
• Technical audit, evaluation of technical condition and forecasting of resources of industrial systems of any degree of complexity.
• Non-destructive inspection, technical diagnostics, and monitoring of condition of facilities with risk evaluation.
• Risk management according to the data of monitoring.
• Training and certification of specialists in risk evaluation and technical diagnostics.

The purposes of the conference were the following:
• Creation of normative and technical documentation in the area of industrial safety meeting the requirements of modern international and domestic legislation.
• Organization of interaction of industrial enterprises, expert, diagnostic, research and educational organizations working in the field of industrial safety of hazardous facilities.
• Further development and implementation of modern methods, systems and means of non-destructive monitoring and technical diagnostics, complex safety systems.

A round-table conference "Automatization and buildings safety. Safety in construction" within the exhibition "City Build – 2009" was held. It was organized by Department of city building of Moscow, Association of Russian builders, Association "ASKOM", Holding company "WELD" and the World academy of sciences for complex safety (VANKB).

Round-table conference contained several sections. As moderators of the round-table conference "Safety in construction" were the president of Association "ASKOM" Albert N. Marshev and the president of Holding company "WELD" Konstantin I. Eryomin. The director of Industrial safety department of Holding company "WELD" Sergey A. Matveyushkin, PhD in Technical Sciences presented a paper "Problems of forecasting of buildings and structures constructions technical state". The report of the president of Holding company "WELD" Konstantin I. Eryomin was presented by the director of Energy department of Holding company "WELD" Galina A. Pavlova, PhD in Technical Sciences. The reports arose a keen interest of the attendees. Besides there were other exciting reports presented.

Additionally there were other round tables within the exhibition.

On October, 19-22nd the MAIN AUTUMN EVENT of BUILDING INDUSTRY – the International Forum of architecture, building, city reconstruction, building technologies and materials uniting experts of city build stages will take place.

Experts of city build stages (SURVEY INVESTIGATION, DESIGNING, BUILDING, OPERATION) will get together in a new pavilion of the All-Russia exhibition centre №75, Moscow. On October, 20th, the round-table conference «Safety in building industry» will take place.
